We are off road enthusiasts who enjoy the great outdoors and the adventure of exploring new places.

Many things make up a great expedition. The preparations and the planning, the camping, the travel, the camaraderie, meeting new friends, challenging trails and seeing new sights around every corner are just a few reasons we enjoy it so much.

We believe that we should be good stewards of the land by following the tenets of Tread Lightly, practicing low impact camping and encouraging others to do the same.

Gear Reviews

The Trasharoo is a piece of equipment every off road enthusiast ought to have.  I bought mine about a month before our CDR run that was started August 26, 2011.   I carried a lot of varied items in he bag and it held up very well.  At different times we carried rocks, muddy shoes, old license plates we found, firewood, extra ropes, a two burner propane stove and even had room for trash, lots of it.  The bag is big, holds a lot and closes tight.

The pockets on the outside will hold items such as propane bottles or anything else you might not want to carry inside.  The straps sewn on the outside of the bag work great if you have Molle items to attach.  The storage space in the flap holds extra trash bags.  I tried carrying recovery gear in the flap but it proved to be too heavy and made it hard to get into the bag so light items like extra trash bags and a folded up tarp went there and worked well.

We drove on over 2000 miles of gravel roads, rocky roads and trails where we had to use low range 4x4.  The common issue with all these roads was the dust.  It was dry and the dust was terrible.  Clogged up everything.  Inside and out.  However, the Trasharoo's drawstring opening kept it out and whatever was carried here stayed clean.  The buckles on the bag were a bit hard to open and close account the dust and dirt in them.

All in all the Trasharoo proved to be a valuable asset to us during our journey.  I feel we tested it more than most people would.  We worked it hard and abused it a lot but it came through the ordeal very well.

I would highly recommend the Trasharoo to anyone wanting a place to carry trash (or anything else) when exploring the great outdoors. The cost of the bag makes it very cost effective.  When this one wears out, which will be a while, I will buy another.
